Happy half hour

It was a beautiful day for a walk: gentle cows and yellow flowers in fields and treasures to be discovered along my path - a beckoning gate; shoe, bench and sand sculptures; an encouraging sign; just me and my shadow, and a fragile beauty washed up by the tide - a magical half hour of peace and solitude.

In my memory it glows even brighter, more intensely.

Memory can be like that, can't it?

Yes it can! Rarely do posts "think" the way that I do but this one nails how (at least MY) memory works most times. The good stuff glows like a sunrise. Love this. Well done.

You're right how memory enhances. And digital photo editing software is the BEST. I really like your final effects on those fine shots.

There is no way we could ever play with hues, tints, values and contrast with pictures on paper with media like we can with the monitor and the mouse. Some kinds of technology are wonderful.

What a wonderful, treasured bit of time and yes - memories so tend to be seen through sunny colored glasses!

It looks so peaceful and soul-filling!

I love your contrasting mosaics - the saturation is a wonderful thing to play with, isn't it? Ah...memory is exactly like that. We turn up the saturation on some memories more than others, don't we?

Love this. You are so right about memory. I love that we can go back and tweak something or put emphasis on what we deem important. There's power in that.

You're a real inspiration - with both your words and your images.

I rarely think back to events or things - I am one of those rare people who will not save my photo albums in case of a fire - so I cannot say that memory is like that for me. But I do like the contrast between the two mosaics - and I LOVE that last enhanced one, which makes me wonder about the way my mind works. Why would I prefer an enhanced version over the real, true one? And does that go for other areas in my life too?
