Sadness flies on the wings of the morning and out of the heart of darkness comes the light.
Jean Giraudoux
(1882-1944)
Joy requires one to be awake,
Adjusting the heart's ambience to bright.
Nicholas Gordon
(1940-)
Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark.
Rabindranath Tagore
(1861-1941)
You must enshrine in your hearts the spiritual urge towards light and love, wisdom and bliss!
Swami Sivananda

When you possess light within, you see it externally.
Anaïs Nin
(1903-1977)
Some times, some days, I feel like I woke up in someone else's life and somewhere, someone else is living mine.
Today is one of those days.
I'm okay. This one I'm in is not awful but it doesn't fit me quite as well as my own, which is chock full of adventures in love and light. Every day. Or at least most days.
This one only flickers. Occasionally. Mine glows, gently but steadily.
I need to reclaim it.
I need to reclaim it. Or create it anew.
Now if I could just figure out where and how to start...

I know how you feel! Thinking of you. xo
you have it and share it daily across miles. it's just resting. xo.
p.s. these quotes really speak to me today.
it will come back. as lisa says, its just resting. taking a break.
Beautiful quotes. Those days could be there to rest your flame and make your light stronger for new days ahead. I read a lovely quote on another blog today(a scandinavian saying)
"Faith
is a bird
in the forest
who
senses
the approaching dawn
and
sings
while
it
is
still
dark"
It is almost the same as your Tagore quote and is so true. So have faith in you, you can do it!
The images, quotes and your writing reflect sad and gentle contemplation until the quietly urgent "I need to reclaim it". And with that line I think you might be well on your way.
I relate to the mood of this post. Thank you for your kind words yesterday Kendalee.
What a lovely quote: 'When you possess light within, you see it externally' - some days it's harder to find that light. But I often wonder if it is these 'flickering' days that make the 'glowing' ones so beautiful.
Are your alter egos struggling for wings?
Thinking of you.
Behind the cloud and darkness the sun is shining and although it may not be apparent you will be bathed in light again.....SOON. Like the bird ; have faith that the dawn will come. Thinking of you.Holding you in my heart xx oo
You start in the moment. Just observing the small tiny light. And then you wrap around it your faith -- in your self, your world, your god, your creative self. And then poof! there you are!
Get new batteries! Simple as that! Or a jolt from holding onto a bare light bulb while stepping on an electric cord- that should do it!
Less painful but more expensive- take a soul trip- go to Africa, Go to Wyoming...go where you will be nourished- in my case it is as far as the kitchen for more tea and toast- but that is an old trick you are quite familiar with. Falling in love is also a good trick to get the old corpuscles racing...you might want to do that, if only for an hour...
the mosaic is charming ...i made this card yesterday and it flashed into my head when I read the post..
some days
You ARE creating that life every day - just by being the magical person you are, kendalee ...
Passing moments strike for permanence in the remembered memory of the passing of the moment.
Melancholy imagery.
Deep cleansing breaths. Listen to the quiet. Close your eyes and see to your core. You're there...as gentle as the photographs you chose, as reflective as their message. Sleep well. Smile first thing in the morning:). Allow yourself the soul-search.
The trip to Africa is a good idea, too:).
i think most people feel this way from time to time. you have a wonderful way with words to be able to describe the feeling so well. so, don't worry, you are not alone!
....out of the heart of darkness comes the light.....
Each beautiful quote an affirmation.
Some times, some days, I feel like I woke up in someone else's life and somewhere, someone else is living mine.
I get this. I hear you and I'm thinking of you.
You'll be in my thoughts. Be well. Great mosaic as usual.
