The joy of life consists in the exercise of one’s energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience.
To stop means simply to die.
Aleister Crowley
(1875–1947)
Follow your bliss and the Universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.
Joseph Campbell
(1904-1987)
Words do two major things:
They provide food for the mind and create light for understanding and awareness.
Jim Rohn
(1930)
At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.
Albert Schweitzer
(1875-1965)
True happiness
consists not in the multitude of friends,
but in their worth and choice.
Ben Johnson
(1572-1637)
Great thoughts, words of kindness and solidarity, and sound practical advice, for which I am ever so grateful... some days it just helps to hear it. And a little perspective is always a good thing.
Thank you friends and family of my heart, near and far.

Hope today is peaceful and you know how many waves of friendship come to you from all over the globe.
As you quoted: "At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person." So true and so lovely.
the last one rings true. i just met up with an old hs friend and realised that in hs, i was too busy collecting friendships than maturing the ones i already had.
i think the ben johnson quote is so true. its not quantity, but the quality of the relationship you have that counts. some of my closest friends live miles away and we never meet for years, keeping up our friendship online and via phone.
I love all of these quotes, and that image is sublime. I love sunbursts :)
you do find some lovely and relevant quotes.
Glad things look brighter now. I think the quotes you have chosen today are lovely, especially the second one-it is scary doing that but provides such surprises all the time, not least new friends!
Beautiful horses too.

the light in the quotes and on the horses together are inspiring

Reading the comments it seems we all have our favourite quotes - and I really like the first one about a joyful life! (PS I do believe strongly that answers come to us - but the pause can be long and one has to be patient; also sometimes one has had the answer all along but simply does not see it.) PS Thanks you so much for the HB wishes - on the blog and elsewhere - I do so appreciate your friendship!! I think you are a spark in many people's lives ...
Very meaningful quotes...make me want to ponder more today... Lovely week to you beautiful! XO*+blessings~
I really appreciated that Jim Rohn quote. You have many good ones here. And, yes, a little perspective can go a long way. :)
What a lovely photo. This is what life is all about.
Albert plays with matches to get his light fix...I only have to read your blog and FLASH! So bright I have to wear my enormous uv protective eye gear indoors!
LOVE, CHEERS!
i can but applaud the first quote: the constant renewal of energy is healthy, almost necessary as is the joy of new experiment..
Thank you for all those energizing and inspiring quotes, Kendalee!
Oh K.,thanks for this post! I needed it! What a beautiful picture as well! Thank you! :)
