Thin ice or ice cold water?

Actually, I think I'll just walk away from it all.

Roll on the holidays...

Brrrrr. Warm coat, boots and hot chocolate weather ..... or butternut soup and warm crusty bread to dip.

How do those little ducks do it? I would love to have their chill bearing skills! Photos are really beautiful, Miss Winter Queen!

I've always wondered if ducks' feet get cold. And if not, why? Very soft wintery photos.

These photos are so pretty. But, i'm with you...just walk away from it all. I'm not a huge fan of the snow. Cold, I don't mind. I think snow belongs on the mountains and far away from me.

I'm always looking at the tracks in the snow. Seeing what's gone before.

Love those little webbed prints.
and while walking away, hopefully you are making a path to a cozy tea house!

Oh goodness gracious ... it looks way too cold for me. Yes, roll on holidays and let Kendalee come and visit southern climes again. (And warmer weather). But when??

Thankfully, we don't get snow here in the SF Bay Area! I, too, really, really dislike the cold. This year it's been in the 30's (to me this is MINUS 30) -- very unusual for our clime. I have had to wear multiple layers in order to venture bravely outside: Polar fleece vest and headband, 2 or 3 layers of cold weather running gear, wristwarmers, boots, and a long black polar coat (duster style) are my daily rags. Key Survival Tactic: I pretend I am strapping on armor and that I am some ninja, anime-type cowgirl with my long red hair whipping in that god-forsaken wind. It's the ONLY way I can stand it!
