Plan B - muted moods

A city is a place where there is no need to wait for next week to get the answer to a question, to taste the food of any country, to find new voices to listen to and familiar ones to listen to again.
Margaret Mead
(1901-1978)

When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused.
Rainer Maria Rilke
(1875-1926)

Aahhh .... I am calmed. Those muted colours have a wonderful effect on me. I love the mosaics and the Rainer Maria Rilke quote really hits the spot.

I am really enjoying looking at the simple beauty of your photos, seeing where you have been, what you have seen ... and I love how you organised your photos together and these muted colors are so relaxing :)

Sorry to hear that the weather wasn't more cooperative, but glad to hear the break was peaceful (as I feel a break should be).

Love your beautiful photo mosaics. Thanks for sharing them.

It would be so perfect to go the big expanse of the ocean today- Feeling claustrophobic in the winter house...bashing around in the cell that is my head- The city also gives some relief- thank you for the mosaic- much needed!

I so agree with Rilke on this. The sea always manages to soothe me, even when it is stormy. I love the greys in your mosaic - soothing, calming ...

These all fit the mood of my current environment -- I'm at the beach and it's been stormy. The light is muted, misty.
