Absolutely nothing in the way of sunshine in the Big Smoke. But there's still light and lustre to be found there if you know where to look:
~ Step back in time and into a cloud of delicious scents - an ambiance of enduring elegance
~ Sheltering under a golden marquee - two days, 48 hours of rain, lots of reason to pause and take in the view
~ Selfridges, still one of the finest and unlike any other - and those sunny yellow carrier bags always promise treats
~ Springbok gold in Trafalgar Square - always reminds me of loved ones far away
~ Sweetest smelling Mimosa on the Embankment - reminiscent of Spring in warmer climes
~ Catching up over lunch and a glass of sunshine with a very dear friend - an amazing view from one of my favourite places in the West End
~ Midnight window shopping in Mayfair - no crowds, no expense, bliss
~ Mood lighting in the hotel - sheds a warm glow over dinner
~ A night in London's theatreland completes the visit - amazing to see living legends perform their craft
Off to the coast for a few days... no internet connection, no cellphone signal... just me and the sea.
And maybe some sunshine. Although I'm not counting on it.
See you on the other side lovely ones...

i so enjoy your window into the world....be well...don't forget a camera!
So glad you are getting out and about and into the city before it gets hot and touristy...although I suppose it is always touristy...You must know that the weather here has turned cold, windy and rainy and it all fell on Art Fest.
Most excellent photos of your great city. Wandering about at midnight sounds like an adventure. Although I'd be on the watch for werewolfs and jack the ripper. I've seen the movies. I KNOW London is crawling with such vermin. (All previous said with big notes of sarcasm--I'm really jealous). Good to hear you are getting out of town.
Don't you think Linda Sue's new photo is a beauty! Good to see here smile.
ah the perfect yellowness of it all! I love these photos!
Lovely cityscape! Buttery yellows - an now for some real sunshine - hope you get it in the country, dear Kenda.
From an onlookers point of view, you sure do have a knack for creating the extraoridnary out of the ordinary - that is such an amazing talent and blessing to have. I love your abililty to get out there in the world and touch it directly. It makes me want to get off the couch!
Great pics! I'm glad you were able to enjoy yourself in the city. I hope you can enjoy yourself at the beach too. Hope there is some sun there for you!!!
what a lovely little peak into your world! and just the brightness that is needed, still gray and rainy in my world...
I can't tell you how much I love this mosaic, Kenda! Beautifully shot and put together, it tells a whole story without words of my favorite city in the world. Thank you so much for sharing! – g
