Weather beaten...

...or beautifully patinated?

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

This week's been one of layers on and layers off - personally and globally, alternating high waters and doldrums - a bit of a rough ride at times but I'm sure I'll decide it's all just lovely texture in the end.

Today's Friday and, in my little world, what's not to love about that? Hope you have a happy one and that the weekend is one of sunny skies and plain sailing...

Bon voyage mes amis!

They say the difference between an annoying gurgle from a toilet that needs its handle jiggled and the happy splashing of a brook is your own perspective. Love the colors of your beautifully patinated subject. Happy weekend.

Really love the battered weathered surface- sort of like my face...shows that it has been around for awhile and through a bit of trial...Happy Week end! I hope that you put your feet up in flannel jammies and read a good book ! Or not.whatever makes you the most joyous! LOVE

Beautifully patinated. More so even than when newly created and freshly painted. Has weathered the storms and rough seas and remains sea-worthy,proud,beautiful! Gracefully (and bravely) facing the waves that crash over her.
Love this photograph.
Have a happy weekend
As always xxoo

I really like this post - yes, I suppose it is a matter of perception! I've always liked weather beaten - it speaks of experience and truth, I think.

This is a spectacular image. I can feel the ruffled paint. We all have layers to work through, don't we?

This is my first visit to your blog - I've added you to my list, so I'll be back again!
