Blue moon

Those are the same stars, and that is the same moon, that look down upon your brothers and sisters, and which they see as they look up to them, though they are ever so far away from us, and each other.
Sojourner Truth

What a great way to end one year and one decade and begin another, with a magical moon. A moon that we share, no matter where we're standing on our little planet. An auspicious sign if ever there was one that TwentyTen's going to be a special year.

I'll be looking up at that moon tonight from a wintery beach, thinking of all my loved ones, all of you, who are connected to me by that big sky... I carry you with me, in my heart, always.

See you in 2010 lovelies!

p.s. my flight was delayed yesterday, by almost five hours - ironically nothing to do with the grotty weather but instead something that was referred to only as having "gone technical". Err, okay. Your guess is as good as mine... Anyway, we eventually took off at 20.10. Yes, 20.10. Exactly. I'm just saying. If one were looking for signs that 2010 is going to be significant... *smile*

p.p.s. this is not a picture of today's moon but one that was taken in a Southern sky last year. I don't think it's changed much since then but I hope to capture it again this evening.

Glad you finally got in the air and to your destination. Airports get old FAST. Your moon shot is excellent. Blue moon. Glad you posted a photo of it and the superb quotes and thoughts. We won't be seeing anything in our sky except snow.

What a lovely photo...and we so wanted to see the blue moon. Instead we saw clouds and snow, and not from a beach:). But I love your "sign," and glad your flight came through uneventfully!
