Sunshine inside and out

Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air…
Ralph Waldo Emerson
(1803-1882)

This is a quotation I love.

Sadly, I am not doing any of these things. It's beautifully sunny outside but I'm mostly indoors under neon lights, drinking filtered water and breathing icy air-conditioned air...

Happily, sunshine makes me feel lighter and brighter even if all I have is a view of it out of my office window, a near-neon buttercup to brighten my morning commute along sparkling canals, and that wonderful feeling, as I start my walk home at the end of a long day, of moving from tamed, chilled air into air so perfectly warm I can't tell where I end and it begins ...

We don't have all that many perfect Summer days like these in the UK, so they are to be treasured.

Sunshine on the outside, brings sunshine to my insides - without fail.

I hope you're having a sunny start to your week too, inside, outside, or inside out!

YES- it has been summer here as well. I am loving it! No rain for days! Clear blue skies and SUNSHINE- it feels so good. I am well, thank you, grateful for fresh air and the ability to breathe it once again. All is lovely and swell.
How long did you live in Rome? Did you get your bum pinched?

Glad the summer is warming your heart. Our winter is making it's presence felt, but not too harshly yet.

It was for about two years Linda Sue and yes, there were one or two minor bum-pinching incidents. Nothing terribly noteworthy... I think I'm too scary! :)

I'm trying to. It's freezing here! More like April than June. Still waiting for our sunny happy weather...

Pretty buttercup though, and great photo! I love how you take so much joy in the simple things in life :)

I am driving in the sunshine...but I need to walk in it. The quote is heavenly. I need to work on the "inside out" concept. Today I'm tired of the summer that's never coming. I don't live in the UK, but it feels like it lately!

I'm beginning to realize that wisconsin doesn't have that many perfect days either anymore, so I'm cherishing them as they come :)

My outside is sunny too, outside my window, and outside my body.
