Be here now

Don't let your mind get weary and confused
Your will be still, don't try
Don't let your heart get heavy child
Inside you there's a strength that lies

Don't let your soul get lonely child
It's only time, it will go by
Don't look for love in faces, places
It's in you, that's where you'll find kindness

Be here now, here now
Be here now, here now

Don't lose your faith in me
And I will try not to lose faith in you
Don't put your trust in walls
'Cause walls will only crush you when they fall

Be here now, here now
Be here now, here now

This is an old favourite and matches my mood perfectly today. As a Christmas gift I was given his latest album and tickets to see Ray Lamontagne live in February.  I look forward to that. A good gig does wonders for the spirit don't you think?

I am not familiar with Ray Lamontagne but I definitely do agree that a good gig does wonders for the spirit!
Thanks very much for the 'new year' comment you left a while back on my blog (I've been away!)... I hope 2009 is your bestest year yet too ^_^

I haven't heard of this song before...and now I love it. I'm facing a mess that is so overwhelming now but this song makes me feel better. For that, I thank you so much.

And what a lovely blog you have here. =-)

Oh so dreamy and deep...I first heard this on Pandora radio and have since been looking for it because I didn't see who it was at the time- too busy making faces at myself in the mirror, I reckon. That will be one lovely concert- you will become a pudddle of goo, I suppose.I think that I most certainly would.
I hope that your sister/baby time was fabulous and that you are not too sad having them go back to the island.
Cheers- great to see your post!

That first line really resonates with me, somehow my mind feels weary and confused and it is only the start of the year! I think it may have something to do with this book on consciousness I've been reading... Hope your year started great - what with D & baby visiting - did you do lots of lovely stuff?

I can still hear the ocean. You were in my thoughts so often.

Be here now... I felt this way when I was mesmerised by life on the coral reefs. The snails had my fullest attention. I love the way they move. I love their colours. I would often remain completely still in a shallow rock pool for over an hour. I was amazed at how life just teemed about me.

There was a swing atop the dune too. It was broad and wide. It faced the sunset. My mind drifted to you as the day faded and as the mist rolled in.

Be here now- so, OK where are you? You've been very quiet...wishing you well and a dry spot to rest upon. We are swamped here- Flooding everywhere. Such drama, mr. weather...

hi. I miss you. I hope everything is okay and that you are just experiencing the typical post-vacation-catch-up at work.
