yesterday's and today's posts really speak to me of comfort and relaxation. I see you are putting your holiday to excellent use and you have inspired me to do the same.
oh..yes..i agree with staying in pajamas all day long and curling up with a book or watching a favorite movie..
Enjoy your week end, dear !! peace and love :-)
(we watched "Paradise now" on Xmas day. perhaps, you saw this movie about the day of 2 Palestinian kamikaze before leaving on a mission and the unexpected outcome. I admit, it's a weird choice for Xmas but it made us think how ardently peace is needed)
peace- what a concept- the only peace i can relate to at the moment is another piece of mince pie- I have two left- one for you and one for me. I must say that the blanket of snow created a very welcome calm, silence, empty street sort of peace that went well with christmas this year. We are returning to our regular programing however- Drip Drip Drip.
Another beautiful mosaic! Yes, peace ... I strive for it ... I'm beginning to think it is like happiness, not a destination, but little moments here and there ...
love this mosaic...love the quotes...and, yes, a day in pajamas is good for the soul! (did that friday...lazed in pj's, took a shower, changed to new pj's and lazed some more ~ yum!)
white speaks of peace ~such artful images well displayed ...thank you for the gentle quotes to go with them just a wonderful post from a new blog friend!
Lisa - I'm trying not to feel guilty about doing very little because I don't think even I'd realised how much I need this time to relax and recharge. I hope you're feeling better for your break too! Lala - Thank you! :o) And I'll definitely check this movie out - it sounds like the sort of thing I'd enjoy... Linda Sue - mince pies are good for body and soul, I swear it! Thank you for sharing yours with me... We're enjoying the drip song here too. Floreta - The pictures are not my own (unfortunately!), I just love them all. The Flickr link on the post will lead you to the talents who created them... Anairam - Very true. Joy, serenity and peace - all fragments rather than a constant state... At least it seems that way to me. But at least the same is true for sadness, anxiety and turmoil I guess? Heather - Hi! Great to see you again... :) Viva PJ days!! Elk - thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed these! :) I've always collected quotations and it gives me such pleasure to create visual expressions with these mosaics. It's like a meditation...
The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection.
Bertrand Russell
The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.
