The stylish Karina over at El beso put out a call for photographs of red shoes.
I own a few.

5 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of boots! Even I didn't realise there were quite as many as that in my wardrobe.
And these (I'm almost embarrassed to admit) are only the ones I held onto after a recent clear out. I gave away three other pairs in red then...
My style is not what one would call trendy. I am not very heavy on my shoes so I often have them for years and years and although I do like fashion and enjoy selecting a few looks from current trends, I wear whichever styles I like regardless of whether toe & heel shapes are "in" or "out". The three pairs I gave away really were either too desperately worn or I'd just outgrown my original love of them. I only held onto my faves.

From top left:
Red satin dancing sandals - I love the crossover straps on the front and the gold leather on the inside, and they do make me feel like dancing, dance the night away...
Red knee length boots - bought when I was living in Rome, seven years ago. They look great with skirts and jeans and although they make my feet feel twice as long as they really are, I love them!
Red sandals with suede inners - these feel gorgeous on my feet and look so beautifully elegant on. I often get compliments when I wear them, which is always nice.
Red patent courts - I'm loving the patent look that's all around at the moment. As a little girl, I always wanted red patent leather shoes and now I have them. I wear these to work a lot. They make whatever I have on feel more feminine.
Red funky floral wellington boots - bough these to wear to a lovely wedding that took place on the banks of a Welsh lake. How could I resist? They looked great with my olive green silk dress! I don't wear them often but if wellies are called for, then these have a certain something, don't they? Such fun.
Red pumps - this is the second pair of these I've owned. I bought this pair earlier this year to replace an identical pair that I wore out completely. So comfy.
As you can see I have quite eclectic tastes. This is true of everything in my life, not just my shoes. I also love to mix cheap and cheerful with more expensive pieces and this little collection reflects that too. But I love them all.
I'd love to say that these represent the only shoes in my wardrobe but I do like shoes and so this is just the red end of the spectrum! Until about 10 years ago, I never owned more than 5 pairs of shoes in total at any time and they were all black or brown. Now when I look in my wardrobe, I still see black and brown but also red, green, cream, patterned, floral and beaded. I must admit it makes me happy. Superficial perhaps, but true!

Aaaah, these red shoes are beautiful. I go with the red wellies and the flat red pumps, and of course, the red italian boots!

I got married in a pair of dark red suede kitten heels from Jigsaw. Then I moved house and I haven't seen them since! I think I have an unopened box in the spare room...they might be in there! I shall dig them out tomorrow. They're super comfortable and look awesome with jeans too!

Glad you found us karina and that you liked the red shoe pictures! At the moment I'm exploring the idea of investing in some deep purple boots... Never owned purple boots before although I love the colour. :)
