Dashed against rocks...

Ocean waves are the only things I can think of offhand that are actually beautifully enhanced by that experience. People usually don't do so well.

This week I feel I learnt a few wave lessons:

~ Use the immovability of the rock and my forward momentum to launch myself further into the air where I can be seen more clearly by those standing on shore and take on a new direction.

~ If I leave the encounter having taken on a different form, that's not necessarily a bad thing - sometimes the new shape is bigger and bolder and better than I'd anticipated.

~ Some of my energy will be lost to fine spray - let it go.

~ Sometimes I'll just need to flow around the rock rather than try to go through it, or over it.

~ Eventually, rocks become pebbles, and pebbles become sand - waves are patient and don't give up.

Right now though, the tide's out and this wave is going to finish off her week more quietly and calmly. Ebb and Flow. Next week... some more wave action to take, no doubt.

Happy Friday, happy weekend lovely ones!

Eventually, rocks become pebbles, and pebbles become sand -
that always fascinates me.

i just need to remember that the same can apply to problems i encounter; that they will eventually disintegrate if i - like the waves - perservere

Such good advice. It is usually difficult at the time to remember that meeting up with change can be a positive thing.

I like, "Some of my energy will be lost to fine spray-let it go.

All good lessons. But damn, I wish I could bring one (or more) of my yellow plastic construction vehicles and get that rock OUT OF YOUR WAY!
