White in the air and underfoot...

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.
John Ruskin
(1819-1900)

Suddenly clouds of snow
Begin assaulting the air,
As falling, as tangled
As a girl's thick hair.
Philip Larkin
(1922-1986)

The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?
J. B. Priestley
(1894-1984)

I love snow, snow, and all the forms of radiant frost.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
(1792-1822)

It's not going to last in my part of the country (although there's a little more forecast for Sunday I believe) and it's so, so cold right now (and slippery where it's frozen) but I love how pretty it makes even the ugliest places look and feel, if only for a short while.

Snow makes the cold worthwhile.

Happy Friday!

I love the picture with the little blue umbrella. I was so excited about the snow last night. It has been fun today. I love the quotes too. Have a good weekend!

The weather outside is frightful but ,my dear, you're so delightful...
It must have scooted right by us- warmed up actually and has begun to rain. Enough about weather- I wish you good cheer! I will toast you on my so called birthday...though we both are pretty sure that the date is wrong and I am a sagitarious...LOVExxxooo

I'm on the same page here. Love snow. And I do hope it'll last for the weekend at least. Have fun playing around in it.

Such a beautiful photograph, Kenda. A visual haiku.

Snow and cold just SEEMS so much more Christmas-y than beach sand and hot weather! Your picture is lovely, also the lights and carousel below.
