I need to go visit London again! But now that we have Snous it may be a little more difficult to travel for longer periods. Was wondering whether I should go to see Invictus - probably not, I SO dislike rugby. But I agree with you about that special moment we South Africans shared that day. Not so many of those moments around here any more. Well, a few, but they are littler moments.
How can I thank you properly for all the lovely and supportive comments you have left for me, Dear Painted Lady? Your words have meant the world to me during a time of great challenge and change.
I lived near London for nearly a year and these images bring back wonderful memories. I wish I could pop over but alas it is something like a 28 hour plane flight. Sigh. One day I'll get there. My husband is English and crazy about history so we have vowed and declared to go for a stomp in the places he remembers.
The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection.
Bertrand Russell
The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.

What a wonderful city - enjoy your little excursions!
I looooove London, too. Can I please come along? It's only a 4-hour flight away. I'll behave, I promise!
Have Fun!
What fun, I hope each excursion makes a fun new memory!
