Ack! I went in on the big Island HI- where the locals said"mmm not good beach- you die"...Yup, I got SPANKED hard! But had I not gone in there I would not have had the most amazing swim with a gorgeous sea turtle by my side...so there you go, girl- signs that say "don't" may be trying to trick you....glad you are a strong swimmer!
Was this to be taken literally or figuratively? I am happy you are OK if it was literal, but love the idea of it being figurative, there is just so much meaning behind it :) In my own life I have seen the signs before and ignored them, and I thank God I am a strong swimmer too! Keep on swimming :)
The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection.
Bertrand Russell
The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.

Very tempting....but I've a great respect for the sea, probably because I'm not a strong swimmer.

Interesting series of photos over the last few days.
I can see that you are a strong swimmer.
I am so glad you survived. I love the fact that 1 pic and a few words tell quite a story!
glad you are okay. we really need signs like that on our beaches. none exist so far, and its up to the beachgoers to judge the dangers themselves.
a strong swimmer and a fabulous, risktaking dare devil!!!
Well, I am very, very glad you are a strong swimmer! I am not a swimmer at all, so I usually take heed of the signs ...
I could say the exact same thing about my life in general...signs have been there. signs have been ignored....but I keep swimming.
Love it.

glad you survived to tell the tale in a perfectly succinct way ~ 1 picture = 1000 words. xo
Yikes!
