A moment of contemplation

I feel my boots

trying to leave the ground,

I feel my heart pumping hard. I want

to think again of dangerous and noble things.

I want to be light and frolicsome.

I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,

as though I had wings.

Oh, I so wanted to write something deep and contemplative, but I'm afraid my first thought was: That coat! Man, I love that coat!!

lol - thanks anairam! I love it too, I must admit. It's one of those things that always feels good to wear. And I've just noticed that when I wear it, from behind it looks like I have wings... :o)
