The alternative is to stand and look out with longing at what is on and beyond the horizon in the sure knowledge that one will never see it. And life is too short to be so cautious.
So this is the start of my journey. A very small and personal journey but one that promises the enrichment that only a little risk, a few adventures, and the occasional boon of some good companions can bring.
This beautiful picture, from one of my favourite etsy sellers, perfectly captures (for me) the feelings of excitement and vulnerability I feel as I set out on this blogging voyage. It seems like a big and somewhat scary world out there but I know millions have travelled this route before me and that I will meet several like-minded explorers along the way. And that gives me courage.
